Clapp Elementary School
The Clapp Elementary School sits atop a hill overlooking Woburn’s Horn Pond. The view at times is magnificent, a place where sun, sky, nature and water meet. Inside there are twelve classrooms, 200 students and 30 full- and part-time staff members. Here, too, the picture can be beautiful.
The Clapp School community cares for the whole child – social and emotional, as well as academic. In addition to reading, writing and arithmetic, the Clapp offers its students an after school theater club, running club and a new math tutoring program through a partnership and grant from Raytheon Corporation. A new school garden is currently in the works and ground should be broken this spring.
